Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Music Mergers collects when you use musicmergers.com or the Music Mergers apps, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information and we don't show ads.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and password (stored securely as a hash by our authentication provider).
- Profile: the name, photo, banner, headline, roles, genres, location, bio, skills, credits and links you add. Your profile is visible to other signed-in members.
- Your activity:posts, comments, likes, connections, opportunities, applications, and messages you send. Messages are visible only to you and the person you're messaging (and to our moderators if a conversation is reported).
- Safety records: people you block and reports you file or that are filed about your content.
- Push notification token: if you allow notifications in the app, a device token so we can notify you about messages, connection requests and activity on your posts.
- Technical data: standard server logs (like IP address and browser type) kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To run the Service: show your profile, deliver messages, and send account emails (confirmation, password reset).
- To keep members safe: review reports, remove content and enforce our Community Guidelines.
- To send push notifications you've allowed. You can turn them off anytime in your phone's settings.
Who processes it
We use a few service providers to run Music Mergers, only for the purposes above:
- Supabase — database, authentication and photo storage;
- Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery;
- Resend — sending account emails;
- Expo — delivering push notifications to the mobile app.
Your choices
- Edit your profile anytime, and delete posts, comments and opportunities you've made.
- Delete your account in Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, profile, content, messages, connections and uploaded photos.
- Block anyone to hide you from each other.
Retention
We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account it's removed from our database right away; backups roll off within 30 days. Reports you filed are kept, without your name, so we can show we handled them.
Children
Music Mergers is not for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
